Commission a Guitar
Commissioning an instrument is a collaborative process. Each build is a personalized acoustic guitar, built by hand, one at a time in my shop in Chichester, New Hampshire. I shape each one around the voice, feel, and aesthetic the player is looking for.
A custom guitar allows the instrument to be built around the player. Together we choose tonewoods, voicing, playability, and visual details to create an instrument that feels natural in the hands and inspires music for years to come.
The Process
Step One - The Conversation
The process begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss your playing style, desired tone, and the visual character of the guitar you hope to create.
Step Two - Designing the Guitar
Once we have a clear vision for the instrument, we begin the design process. Together we determine the body style, tonewoods, and aesthetic details that shape the character and voice of the guitar.
Step Three - Building the Instrument
Once the design is finalized, the guitar is built in my shop in Chichester, New Hampshire using traditional methods and carefully selected tonewoods.
Step Four - Completion and Delivery
When your instrument is finished, it will be carefully set up and prepared to bring music for years to come.
Pricing
Each guitar is built individually in my shop in Chichester, New Hampshire, using carefully selected tonewoods and traditional methods.
Custom guitars begin at $4,750, with final pricing depending on wood selection and custom design features.

What to Expect
Build Time
Most instruments take approximately 6–12 months to complete, depending on the current build schedule.
Deposits
A 50% deposit reserves your place in the build queue, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
Updates
During the build process, I’m always happy to share updates and photos from the workshop.
