About The Luthier
“Every guitar is a balance of tone, structure, and craftsmanship. My work is rooted in understanding that balance — building instruments that reveal the natural beauty of wood, respond faithfully to the player, and endure for generations.”
– Seth Peacock
My Story
I began building guitars at age thirteen in a small shop in Fremont, New Hampshire, learning the craft at North Road Guitars. What began as a fascination with wood and sound grew into a lifelong pursuit of refinement — understanding not just how to build an instrument, but how to shape one with intention. Those early lessons continue to guide my work today.
Even before finishing my first guitar, I knew it would not be my last. I had been captured by a passion that has shaped my life since. I began collecting my own tools in a shop of my own, where I completed my first commissioned instrument.
My mentor, John Whiteside, passed away before we were able to add the finishing touches to my second guitar. I still carry the lessons he taught and the wisdom he shared. His influence lives on in those of us privileged enough to have studied under him. The standards he instilled continue to shape every instrument I build.
Today I continue refining my work as a custom acoustic guitar builder and luthier in New Hampshire, with a view of the quiet woods beyond my bench. To me, building guitars is more than a profession — it is an art and a discipline that keeps me, and those around me, grounded in beauty and music.
If you’re considering a custom instrument, I would be honored to build it with you.
